Terms of service
These are the terms for shopping at Pants Down Aprons On, the store attached to the cooking channel and website of chef Charlé Visser. By placing an order you agree to them. They're short and in plain language, because legal documents don't need to be miserable.
What we sell
Two kinds of things: physical merchandise (aprons, shirts, mugs, tea towels, phone cases) printed to order by our print partner, and digital products (PDF downloads like the cookbook) delivered instantly by email after checkout.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and include what they say at checkout — no hidden fees from us. Payment is processed securely by Shopify Payments. Any customs or import duties on international merchandise orders are set by your country and are your responsibility, as covered in the shipping policy.
Digital products
When you buy a digital product, you get a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own cooking, on your own devices, forever. You can print it for yourself. What you can't do: resell it, redistribute it, upload it anywhere public, or pass it off as your own work. Feed people, not file-sharing sites.
Because digital products are delivered immediately at checkout, you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day withdrawal right that applies to digital content in the EU and UK once the download is delivered. If a file is broken or you can't access it, email us and we'll fix it — that part never expires.
Physical products
Merchandise is made to order. Returns, replacements and refunds are handled as described in our refund policy, and delivery times in our shipping policy. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under local consumer law.
Intellectual property
All recipes, text, photography, designs and the general tone of voice in our products and on this store are the property of Charlé Visser / Pants Down Aprons On. Cook everything, share photos of what you made, tag us — but don't republish or commercially reuse the content itself without written permission.
Cooking is at your own risk
Our recipes involve heat, sharp things, raw ingredients and occasionally fermentation. We give honest guidance, real temperatures and food-safety notes, but you are responsible for your own kitchen — including checking doneness, managing allergens and using common sense. Allergen and dietary tags in our products are a guide, not a medical guarantee. If you have a serious allergy, always check the actual ingredients you buy.
The boring but necessary part
We may update these terms from time to time — the version on this page at the time of your order applies. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms are governed by the laws of our country of establishment, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
